Fraternity History

National Roots

In the fall of 1906, sixteen civil engineers at the University of Illinois decided that it would be in their best interests to live with each other the next school year. It is from their camaraderie that was born the idea of Triangle Fraternity, a place where analytically-minded men could bind together to foster honor, friendship, brotherhood, stability and character. This group of men were so magnetic that, in only a short two years, on April 15th, 1907 Triangle Fraternity was officially incorporated.

Local Growth

The UCI Colony of Triangle was born on a couch on the third floor of Nat Sci 2. There, the idea of starting an interest group was planted into the minds of Founding Fathers Timothy Reynolds and Stuart Masuda by Cindy Chang, then the President of Phi Sigma Rho.

With the pinning of a founding class of 16 gentlemen by then Director of Chapter Development Leo Glass, the Colony of Triangle Fraternity at UC Irvine was formally created in the Fall of 2007.

Currently, the UCI Colony of Triangle is going forth to becoming chartered around Fall quarter of 2012.
